Picture this apron worn by the cute hipster cashier at an indie shop.
Made from an upcycled pair of chinos, and lined with bandana print fabric from the thrift store, this apron is short, sweet, and shaped with two front darts. Tie it on when you need a couple of extra pockets, and bit of indie cute.
I printed the birds on the front pocket using a transfer tool/ versa tool and a xerox copy.
The pattern is my own design. I’ve uploaded it here to share. Hooray!
(note: I drafted the design to fit a EUR size 36 over a pair of jeans. Due to the nature of the design—open at the back, secured with ties—it should fit a variety of sizes.)

Thanks for sharing Prudence. Love the material that you used, loved that its also recycled, and put to very practical use with style. Am going to try and adapt your pattern into a hipster short pleated shirt skirt for my adult daughter that she can wear with tights/leggings :) xx

I don’t usually wear aprons but if I were to, this would be my pick. Such great use of the details of recycled materials having that seam cut across the middle and placing pockets on either side. Makes complete and perfect sense.
Also love the print!
