Description

Another costume from our movie “A Midsummernight’s Dream”, Hippolytia’s this time. I think I’ll explain this one… Theseus (her soon to be husband and Duke of Athens) gave her a fancy gown to wear, but she, being the proud Amazon queen she is, didn’t want to wear it. So she altered it “a litte”, slit the front and wore it with trousers and boots. :-) Second picture is from the movie.

The pattern came from Burda magazine 12/07, No. 104, but of course, the slit was added by me ;-)
