I made this Jacket ( how you can see with my dog´s help) with velveteen which I ordered in USA. For the lining i used a satin with embroidery. The lining I fixed with Iron-on Hemtape which I miss so much- didn´t see this here in Germany.
I had some mistakes: I think the hem is not that perfect and I should read before I set in the sleeves ( ;-) ) but I could rescue them.
velvet satin with embroidery
Burdastyle and my Schoko how stood by me when I freaked out with the sleeves.

your jacket is wonderful. I like the soft color and the buttons :) I made this jacket myself over the last two and a half days and will post pictures soon :D excited I really love this pattern and your take on it.
Great project, great dog :)
BTW: is it just the lighting or did you some how get the grain/pile direction wrong? Some panels are lighter than others and with velvet-like fabrics this is mostly caused by (accidentally) turning pattern pieces upside down. the fabric reflects light different depending on the pile direction :) You can use this, when you want subtle color changes, though (Madeleine Vionnet once made a Harlequin outfit this way, alternating the direction of the fabric squares).
Hope you don’t get annoyed by my smart-ass remarks >.<

It’s a good thing you have such a helpful dog! Very nice choice of fabric for the design. My dog knows the command “get off the cloth!” (But then he just gets right back on it again.)

I love this model very much, and I think you did your job well. The fabric is awsome, I like the color, and matching buttons are great! I think I’ll use this pattern very soon on my light yellow-green flannel :)
