So I just can’t stop making Marie skirts! I took what felt like a very long break from sewing to focus on a big project at school, so this is my first creation since getting that done. It’s good to be back at the sewing machine! I had this fabric sitting around for a long time and decided it would make a cute skirt – I love the color, which reminds me of a highlighter pen. I made the skirt a little shorter than the pattern and added a pocket on one side.
Not sure... something shiny and unfortunately a bit see-through

I love your skirt. The color reminds me of sherbet ice-cream. Does this skirt call for facing at the hemline? I’m just getting started on one.

Thank you! There is a pattern piece for a hem facing. Good luck with your Marie, it’s a fun pattern!

Adorable! You’ve chosen a great fabric:) I’m going to use that pattern too but I can’t find suitable fabric… yours is great!:) It would look great with wide brown belt at the waist and high heels:)
