This is my final piece for my Higher Art Fashion Design study :) I made the pattern myself and made the attachments. This fabric was so cheap – amazing to work with.

Thank you :)
I’m from scotland and when you take Art at higher level, you do an expressive project (painting) and a design project. In the design project you can design anything from clothes, furniture, lighting, vases. I choose fashion and textiles as my project and started working from there :)

It was as simple as cutting out circles of fabric and pinching them in the centre! I then bundled a few of them together and sewed across with the machine to keep them together, then hand sewed on. I tacked small bits of the attachment to the dress to ‘open up’ the attachments! I’m so glad you like it! :)

Thats what I was going for! My brief was ‘an unique but attention seeking dress to be worn to the Chelsea Flower Show’ :)

I did weaving and then made outfits. Using a woolen woven fabric I made a trouser suit . Using tablet weaving I trimmed hot pants. I also did tailoring and made a coat using Crombie fabric and made military style " frog " fastenings and covered buttons in real snakeskin !!

That sounds amazing! I hope you got an A for that! haha :)

I was aiming to get the effect of the gills to mushrooms, but I thought they ended up looking more like flowers! Ended up better than I expected! Thank you for your comment :)
