Somehow these ended up being high waisted but thats ok! the demin was very hard to work with and made it harder to include the small details like the belt and the front pocket. i also broke 3 needles in the process, but im happy with them now!

hey. i think it was a fluke. but i think there was a fold i missed or something. it was awhile ago now so i can even remember cutting the pattern!
maybe when you cut just add some more length for the waist height just incase it doesnt work out like mine?
i hope my info wasnt too useless!

Great shorts, I really like the brass buttons! Its about 4 degrees outside in Colorado, its fun to look at Summer clothes :). These would make great wide-leg pants.

They look great on you! Did you use a denim needle for the sewing? They are thicker and they have a different kind of a point on them than normal needles.

I like the higher waist. As for needles, denim is tough to sew w/o brealing a needle. I average tw-three a project like slacks, usually at the crotch area. The denim stretch needles work better, but I still break at least one. Nehmah

I love this! you did such a great job with the fit and the topstitching, and all those buttons, too! I wish it was hot enough for shorts here…

Your shorts look good. I like the details on the pockets and around the buttons.
