When Butterick patterns released their versions of the Royal bridal dress and bridesmaid dress I knew I was going to get me a copy.
I guess that makes me a little bit creepy.
Recently I decided to set myself a challenge of making a garment to fit someone else’s body. In the past everything I’ve made has been for myself and so the adjustments were always the same.
When I flicked through my pattern stash I re-discovered this pattern and realized the shape would work perfectly on my sister Angeline! And I do love me a copy-cat dress!
This dress is made of 100% wool crepe, is fully lined, trimmed with lace and has 36 fabric covered buttons as a closure down the centre back.
