I wanted a bag to go with some cool canvas wedge summer heels that have natural “hemp” like rope stuff on the heels.
I had this hessian left over from a scrap hook rug I made years ago and the handles for years too. I bought the fat quarter of the funky quilting print before I even thought of making a bag. I just liked the fabric!! I am not sure which designer it belongs to. Apart from the magnetic clasp – I had all the stuff already – which was kinda cool. It didn’t take long to draft up a pattern and knock the bag together!
I used some pink cotton to line it (which I also had in my stash!). I am happy with the way it turned out and it looks cool with the shoes!
Hessian, quilting print, cotton, magnetic clasp, bamboo handles.
