The jacket was made according to my design except for the sleeves which I took from a Burda shirt pattern (01/2009). The story on my blog

This is such a lovely ensemble with the skirt and the jacket – I love the cropped jacket and I really, really love the fabric and the silver button is such a nice feature! How do you do it and how do you find the time??!! I am always so impressed with your level (and quality) of output! xx

Just gorgeous! I particularly adore the broach/pin you’ve used here. If I passed this in a shop, I wouldn’t leave without it. :)

I love the cropped look, always good to have variety in a wardrobe, but yes, a longer version would also be stunning. IT’S FABFABFAB!!

Yes, the skirt was the first to be made.
Thank you!

Yours is cute. I have a few of these to make but can never have time. I am getting a little faster utilizing my time between school, kids, hubby, etc…

I love the fabric! And the skirt is fabulous! I agree with Carotte, I wish it was longer, or at least that´s what I would wear, because this type of jackets makes me somewhat “cold” when I look at them :). I want to make a jacket with similar sleeves like this…

The fabric is pleasurable for wear and although I am not much into dark and “cloudy/dim/void-looking” fabric, I love the harringbone pattern and must say that I have a lovely relationship with the colour grey. I think it suits me very well. Regarding the sleeves – well I think I will make a dress with these sleeves!
Thank you for your comment!

Yep !make anything you are dying for!! I was just seeing the potential of this great jacket not saying that you should have put more effort into it, (envision it for instance slightly longer with the waist line defined by a thin belt to fasten it, simple and yum yum) it is more sophisticated to just belong to the ‘quick and simple’ category though! But hey that is just my opinion maybe I should have commented with ‘just great’. X

Really lovely and special. However I am not a great fan of cropped jackets. Don’t get me wrong but I can’t help imagining it longer with a well defined waist line and/or with a peplum. I think it would have enhanced the fabulous details even more!X

You may be right there! Honestly, I wanted something simple and quick! Maybe I should have put more effort into it!
I am also not keen on wearing cropped jackets because they meddle with my height :)
However I was just dying to have one!
