It seems to be a rite of passage, if you’re going to get married you have to have a hen’s night (or Bachelorette night as it’s known as in some parts). This is the night where you leave your liver and good-sense at home and you’re at the mercy of your bridesmaids, and let’s face it – bridesmaids can be scary!
I had a fabulous day/night/early morning and I am very grateful to my fabulous bridesmaids who spoilt me rotten!
I made this dress for the occasion using some fabric from my stash. I’ve had this fabric for so long, but with only a metre of it I was limited in what I could make with it. It ended up being just right for this dress. I lined and faced the dress with silk dupion which added strength and helped conceal the lower half of my body, which seems to have a mind of it’s own sometimes.

That dress is fab! But in more important news… you are getting married? That is awesome :) I am so happy for you, although I really should be mostly happy for your future husband. That guy is sooooooooooooooooo lucky :) (yes, I am secretly in love with you, there I said it. Not to worry, it’s very platonic ;) )

Oh thank you so much you are too kind! I just got married two weeks ago, I’ve just been away on my honey moon so I haven’t been able to post any of my dresses up until now! My hens night was about a month ago.
Don’t worry joost, the love is reciprocal. I told my husband and he is completely understanding :)
