I went to the fabric store to pick up some hooks and eyes and walked out with this fabric. It was on sale for $7 a metre, so it wasn’t too big of an oops. Plus, the print, rows of farmhouses and chickens, is fantastic.
The skirt is incredibly simple, just one metre of fabric, cut in half, stitched up the sides with a zipper on the left, then pleated at the top. The stripes on the print also made convenient waistband and hem.
