Added Aug 2, 2012
This is my first dress ever! I altered SisBoom’s Jamie dress pattern to achieve a better fit.
1) added length to the wasitband and back bodice piece for a lower, more natural waistline (I’m 5’9’’)
2) shortened the straps to lift the neckline
3) spread out the gathers of the front bodice differently
3) added ‘space’ to the shelf bust by slashing and spreading the front bodice piece to prevent my bust from making the waistband ride up
Further, I used a hidden zipper instead of an all-purpose one. Hem was stiched by hand
