Very simple dress based on one of my favourite t-shirts. There was no pattern used. Although I have since created one. UK size 6-8 (US 2-4)
The dress was made with a hemp and lycra mix jersey fabric and was unbelievably soft. The belt and Bra ties (I also made my bra!! :) ) were made with the left over tartan fabric from my husband’s kilt which is the MacNeil of Barra Modern Tartan.

Many thanks everyone. My cousin has announced that she is getting married next year and wants me to make her dress. Will need to look for inspo. She and I are very different.
The sewing has unfortunately been put to one side for some while now, but having cleared out a lot of fabric at my grandparents recently, I have been inspired.
I am about to embark on a playsuit for the summer made from my nephews old jedi curtains! The husband thinks I am mad (although he’s always thought that!) but I can’t wait!

Congratulations. Best wishes on your life together. You both look great but I specially love your dress. The back is really cool and sexy.

Though the dress is not really my cup of tea (the back is too daring for me: congrats on pulling it off), I like the idea that, in a way, it reminds me of a celtic druid dress from the front. It matches in very well with your husband’s kilt!

I love, love, love your wedding dress! I think it is so great when people use hemp fabric for anything. Congratulations on your wedding! I wish you and your new husband all of the best!
