Description

I squeezed this top out of 0.77 yards of remnant fabric. I used Vogue 8790 for the basic silhouette but had to modify it significantly due to fabric restraints. I eliminated the faux wrap and waist gathers, added center seams in front and back, and used some scraps to make the ties in front.

I think I like the color, though it’s quite bright. See more musings about it on my blog !

Material Notes

Cotton interlock knit

Wow, this is so lovely and you have made it to fit you perfectly. You must be delighted with it, especially after challenging yourself to make a top out of such a small piece of fabric. Well done.

Very cute! I admire people that make stuff with remnants of fabrics, it just pisses me off when I don’t have enough!

that top is beautiful.. it’s amazing what you made using that vogue pattern as starting point – it’s so different than the original, and so much more beautiful than the original
