Description

a buttercup yellow one-piece vintage bathing suit made using the alison swimsuit pattern from burdastyle. i made a few adjustments to fit my size and bodyshape. more details here.

my first attempt sewing with a pattern so there were a few OMG moments and some rough edges but still so much fun! :)

Material Notes

i used stretchy lycra fabric with a cotton underside. it is especially comfy and thick enough to not need much lining.

    How did you manage the ruched back alteration? I am about to give this pattern a go and really like that detail – it makes it as cute in the back as it is in front!

      hi annie!

      im going to try explain the best i can! :) i gathered the fabric, folding it like an accordion (even pleats) then i ran a stitch through it. it helped me reduce the slack on the binding to fit me better…
