I have a tendency to make dresses that I never wear because there’s no fitting opportunity. See: this dress. I used fabric I bought in my favourite fabric store in Budapest back in January; the dress is fully lined and has the most adorable little “sleeves”. I love it! I also look like a fucking Disney princess whenever I wear it. I’m going to wear it today on a day trip to Lake Constance and see how that goes, though. But if you know just the right moment to wear a Disney princess dress, please tell me!

I love this dress very much, it’s one of the prettiest versions of this pattern in my opinion! The color is adorable on you and the neckline so flattering! It’s a really pretty dress!!

I had a dress just like this. However, it buttoned up the entire front. it was made of a white cotton/linen blend. It wore so beautifully. I did not look like a fairy princess, it was more a casual, languid, romantic, summery, breezy, (depending on buttons)leggy, lovely “tea dress”. Shoe is very important on statement. I wore a wrap around ankle small heeled sandle, wow! Adjust neck length, darts and you have a most stunning fitted day dress. I would add Cinderella waist, dropped a dash. Stunning!

Thank you for your comment, but I’m quite content with the dress as is and was looking more for tips how to dress it down, see the comments below. :)

Love this. I don’t think it’s too Disney-esque though! It could be dressed down and do as a lovely day dress. Great job :)

Thank you! Yes, I think I’ll just wear it with a cardigan, good idea! :)

Aw, it’s so cute, it would be a shame not to wear it. It does look princessy but also totally something a hipster chick might wear if she saw it in a second-hand store. Why not try to wear it with a belt, a big chunky pendant necklace, funky shoes etc.?

Nah you don’t look like a disney princess. The neckline is cool on that bodice, I keep seeing it pop up, and ove it. Maybe pair it with a thin red belt if you feel too yellow. Looks fab anyway.

Thank you! Yes, I like that kind of neckline too, it was actually what sold me on the pattern in the end. :)
