This backless dress was made as a custom order for a friend.
She wanted it as open in the back as possible, and a high boatneck style
it took a couple fitting, but in the end it turned out perfect
I took a few photos in it before sending it off, and i almost want to make one for myself, it was truly comfy

Material Notes

4 way stretch jersey

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter
Garment Type
Evening Wear

This is so gorgeous. I’ve been planning to make a prom dress for my friend similar to this. Did you use a commercial pattern at all?

This is beautiful! How did you get it to not gab at the waist in the back?

thank you! I actually used 5/8" briaded elastic to finish out the whole back and neckline. It helped keep the dress on while still leaving the arms to move about freely, and not worry about -de-dressing. It also helped me not have to deal with figuring out how to achieve a nice finish on the 4-way stretch towards the v-back part, thats always quite a pain ;>
