Description
This is my version of the Heidi dress which I made to wear to a wedding on Saturday. I used a slight stretch white cotton with a black floral pattern and lined it with a white satin backed crepe. Other people who’ve made this said it comes out large and I found the top to be really big for me. If I make this pattern again I’d cut the top a size smaller but the size 40 skirt was fine.
The instructions to line the bodice made absolutely no sense at all so I made it up as I went along which caused a few problems but I got there in the end.

The glass of champagne as an accessory looks really good wouldn’t you say? It tasted good that’s for sure!

Looks great on you and the fabric is lovely. I havent used this pattern, but I do find that some of the instructions for burdastyle patterns are hard to understand (at least in comparison with store bought patterns, perhaps not vintage pattern though -i hear those are pretty tough to understand)
