I made this dress last month to attend my good friends wedding, I also wanted a little shrug just in case it was cold. I followed Yoshimi’s instructions for the shrug, which is made from leftover lining.
Was pretty easy to make, I had to redo the bodice as the first one was too big.
Probably polyester from Spotlight

Oh I like this one! I had the same with the bodice being super roomy & do the same by using a belt to pull it in, as I didnt do a fitting for this when I made it.

Congrats on your Heidi! And like someone else said: love the shoes.
I made Heidi too and I fought a little with both the bodice and the waist: and I still feel like it’s a little big and bulky. I solved it by adding a thick black belt that I pulled to mark the waist more.

Thank you! yeah I know what you mean, mine seemed a bit big at the shoulders. I’m sorry your hand is broken!

The fabric seems very fluid. I recently tried to cut polyester chiffon without success. I love every bit about your two creations here. Colors, fabric, patterns. Excellent work.

Thanks for your lovely comments :) The fabric wasn’t too bad, it frayed really easily which was the most annoying!
