I used the burdastyle pattern "02/2011 Dress with gathered rectangle skirt and cap sleeves " and made it smaller to fit me. I also made the zipper in the back instead of the side, and added a heart shaped cut-out at the back, and also a lace trim underskirt.
Next time I use this pattern I will use a different color though. This grey cotton is hard to pair with stuff and can look boring and old fashioned (in a bad way :) I usually like old fashioned but it just looks a little boring).

I love it! I don’t think the grey is at all boring. Especially love the peep or red at the hem.

I LOVE this! The grey is a great neutral to offset that deep red. I’m definitely going to make an underskirt with lace trim now for my raspberry eyelet cotton version of this dress—it needed some pop!
