Cut-out details really are very cute, arn’t they? I love them too!
I might actually post a technique for this…
I used shell fabric/interfacing/lining layers to create the cut-out hearts. The layers are securely pinned together, then I use two neat rows of stitching to sew a heart-shape through all three layers, then carefully cut-out the heart-shape.
You could probably use any shape you like – stars, crescent moons or something more detailed… your patience and skill are the only limiting factors!
Make sure you allow yourself a few practice runs to get the technique sorted, and be prepared for it to take a bit of time – the results are worth it!
