Have you ever used a more expensive fabric for the lining of your dress instead of your main fabric? That’s what I did with this dress! (It will be our little secret, okay). I found this bright and fun rayon that was the perfect fabric for the dress, but the only lining fabric that was suitable for the project was some silk from my stash. Luckily the silk only cost me $5.00 a yard (the rayon was $4.50 a yard). I love the way this dress turned out, it has been so much fun to wear.
Sorry for all of the color variation in the photos, my camera was being weird. The photos on the dress form are the most true to life colors. Also, the photos of the purple fabric is the dress inside out so you can see the pretty lining. It’s a bit wrinkly ‘cause it’s been worn a lot lately.
