Summer dress made without a pattern. This was an experiment to see if I could do it. Had a little issue with the bust so it’s far from perfect. Was feeling a little like Cuba so I named it Havana Summer :P
Cotton, two metal buttond for the back closure , and gold-ish cord for the straps.

Thanks Jubi, not sure if I could do a how to… the bust gave me a few problems. I’ll have to try to perfect it.

Thanks everyone! Claireissewing – you know, I only bought that fabric because it was $1 a yard. I probably would have passed it up also. Thanks mountainhoney, I always wanted to be a model but alas I am too short and too fat :)

I love the gathering at the bust, it’s so flattering, well done. I never do anything without at least a partial pattern so well done, maybe I should just give it a try someday! Great fabric too, definitely very “Summer”! :)

I love the fabric, I would never have picked that up in the shop but I’m definitely on the lookout for something similar!
