Blue Harris Tweed short fitted jacket with patterned satin lining and funky buttons.
Material Notes
Beautiful Blue Herringbone Stripe Harris Tweed. I wanted to make this very fitted jacket just a little bit different, so each buttonhole was worked in a different shade of thread selected from the lining colours. The buttons are a deep red, pink shade and work very well with the stripe in the tweed. To completely contrast with the rough tweed I lined the jacket in a beautiful stretch satin in a vivid print of oranges, pinks and blues and piped the lining with a contrast deep pink satin to add extra detail. The softness and slight give of the satin makes the jacket very comfortable to wear.

The fit and execution aside it’s the innovative touch of an Olde English style jacket and fabric juxtaposed with the silky Orientalist satin lining that has me in awe. Well done!

Thank you Mary. I made this for my sister as a surprise in December, and have no photos of her wearing it. I am a UK 12 and she a UK 8, but it does fit her perfectly which is great. It looks lovely on her and she was thrilled with it.
