I made this because I tried on Tracyx’s v8380 dress and loved it:

so I made the same thing! It was suppose to be great for maternity, normal wear, and breastfeeding, but it is a little tight on me now. apparently your ribcage expands during pregnancy! so even if i am making empire waist dress, i have to make the underbust more adjustable. :)
otherwise, i really love this dress! you can also goto my blog for more personal informations!

Um yeah, the ribcage – my first daughter permanently bent one of my ribs outward so…. Having had 5 now (including twins) I recommend working in some growing room in that area for future projects! I loved tops and dresses that had ties in the back. They were flattering postpartum as well.

I love this! That’s good to know about the expanding rib-cage… I’m just starting to work on a maternity wardrobe so will need to take that into consideration as well. Any tips on altering patterns to make them baby bump friendly?

woo congrats! :D i usually make sure to re-measure myself before i make the dress, as your boobs and butt may get bigger too. then i use that measurements and cut out the pattern, and then altering the pattern to make the tummy part more roomie :) oh! and try to use knits! double knits are good if you dont want something that is too slinky!

I love this dress on you, such nice fabric! And I think, at least in my case, kind of everything expanded in pregnancy… even my face! :)

Very pretty dress. The colour and pattern of the fabric you used are perfect for summer :-)
