- upon learning my husband said it looked like happy camo, emily kate said
‘happy camouflage’ is perfect!- like what you’d wear if you were going to hide in a flowerpatch and spring out to surprise someone with a present!"
which i will try my best to do every time i wear it.

Really love this. You did a fabulous job! The first thing I said when I saw the thumbnail was Oooooo! and then I had to check it out. Looks really great :).

I like your surprising trick! Hidding in a flowerpatch.. have you tried it yet? Beautiful top! I love your new profile picture.

Happy camo is the PERFECT way to describe it! That is some rockin’ fabric. Who wouldn’t want to blend in with a flower garden? Very, very cute top.

1. I am very impressed with the whole adjustable strap situation. Fancy. Advanced.
2. I like that I’m getting to see a bit more of your face each time.
3. I miss Joanne’s. I know, I know I have whole avenues of fabrics. Stores dedicated solely to buttons. Trimmings as far as the eye can see. But sometimes I just want to have a clearly labeled rows of cotton, and a section for clearance, and coupons when you walk in the door, and prices and washing instructions on everything in one mega crafty store.

Beautiful top! I love the colors; and it looks like it really flatters your skin tone. This pattern is on my must make list, too. I subscribed to BWOF because I could not find any store that carried it locally – it’s expensive – busted my pattern budget; but the patterns are so much more stylish that it’s worth it – even if I have to copy them onto tissue.

Gorgeous. You look fantastic. It dresses up your jeans. No kidding about WOF. I just signed up for subscription on Amazon. Waiting for my first issue.

This was my first BWOF creation too, yours turned out far better than mine, and i love your choice of fabric. Glad you finally got the magazine.

Very beautiful! I love it all and wish I had bought the July issue! Oh well, I already have the August issue and there are some great things in there as well! I like your other creations as well! Keep it up!

Really cute top! I’ve just read the post on this top on your blog and I wanted to comment it. Don’t be afraid of BWOF patterns. I started sewing a long time ago as a complete ignorant, and used only BWOF patterns. That didn’t stop me, and I learned a lot! Now that you have on-line support from members of this site, and so many tutorials, it should be much easier to you than it was to me. Don’t hesitate to try, I’m sure you’ll make it! Best wishes! Ana

thanks everyone! i picked this fabric out for someone else, and true to form, i used it for my greedy little self :) the pattern was actually not that difficult, but i think a lot of that had to do with knowing what to do from working through on lots of burdastyle patterns with drawings and all. i felt a little spoiled when i realized bwof only draws out one “sewing course” pattern per issue. i love the magazine (my first), but one more reason to be lucky for burdastyle:)
