I made this bag for my sister’s birthday. I had a hard time mailing it off to her, as I was seriously considering keeping it for myself! I added one pocket (with snap closure). Rather than attaching the lining to the outer fabric and then sewing the side seams, I sewed the main bag together and the lining together, and then stitched the top seam. I left a small hole in the lining so that I could turn it to the inside and handstitched the hole closed. What a great pattern. The bag is the perfect size, and is a great way to use up leftover bits of fabric. I can’t thank fashion1 enough. I was disappointed with the new burdastyle policies, but I’m so happy that members have stepped up and are producing such great patterns.
printed twill for outer, linen for straps, quilting cotton for lining.
