I really liked making this, as i learnt alot! My first zipper, and first ruffling experience.
I also implemented all basting steps which really made a difference in the quality of the gathers and stitching.
The back is a little bit low, but perhaps I just need to try different undergarments.
EDIT: inspired by Burda Styles new “Re-style” shoots, I have taken better photos of this dress with different accessories! (The new ones i am wearing dark stockings and a belt.)
I added them here alongside the old ones.
Velvet – for some reason i thought the original was made in velvet, and then after i bought it, i read it was actually a knit material lol. Hoping velvet can still be a wearable fabric.
