I really liked making this, as i learnt alot! My first zipper, and first ruffling experience.
I also implemented all basting steps which really made a difference in the quality of the gathers and stitching.
The back is a little bit low, but perhaps I just need to try different undergarments.
EDIT: inspired by Burda Styles new “Re-style” shoots, I have taken better photos of this dress with different accessories! (The new ones i am wearing dark stockings and a belt.)
I added them here alongside the old ones.
Velvet - for some reason i thought the original was made in velvet, and then after i bought it, i read it was actually a knit material lol. Hoping velvet can still be a wearable fabric.

Your Minna looks amazing. I’m glad to see that someone has made one successfully in velvet. I think I’ve had it in the back of my head for months now because I saw some gorgeous silk crushed velvet last week and immediately bought enough for my own Minna.

i really realli like it! i think that shortening the straps would weork very well…
but maybe you are not wearing the proper bra, because it shouldn’t be rising up that high.. i read an article that said that A LOT of women aren’t wearing the right bra and it stucked in my head :P

This is nice! And I like the fabric you used, I would never have thought of using velvet for a dress. How does it feel on the skin? You always seem to choose dresses that suit you perfectly.

I like your version much more than the original one. Beautiful colour and perfect fit. Great work.

Even though I usually don´t like velvet, I really like your dress! It’s so flattering.
