I have thought about doing the Tara pattern for a while, as an nice but easy dress, and i finally did! I’m very happy with it, was a quick project which allowed me to test how to sew satin.
I was worried about the coverage, but in the end it turned out fine (i think). I was going to use the sleeves, but my machine kept ‘eating’ the material when i was overcasting the edges, ruined the pieces, so i used bias tape.
I cut the pattern at the lengthen/shorten line and moved it away from the top bit to make it longer.
Material Notes
Satin, Bias tape, Elastic (i made alot of bias tape in my first dress, but ever since i bought it for my Anda, i can never be bothered to make it anymore!!)

THis looks great. I have made Tara in satin but it turned out so awful I never posted it and put it in the unfinished projects pile until I can get up the energy to try to fix it!! Well done on yours.
