As a beginner, i didn’t think i would make a coat for years, but i just couldn’t let winter pass me by without trying!
The coat is so warm and is fully lined! First time I’ve ever lined anything, definitely makes a difference!
My advice is to beginners is to try projects like these, and just take each step as it comes. Its a big job but not too bad in little bits :)
2m of a wool blend? Lining. Snaps.

I’m about to make this one – but view C with the bell sleeves. Yours has turned out great and very helpful to see shots in advance.

Gorgeous coat, I would love to make one, but not sure if I’m ready for it yet. Also being in Newy, it looks like I should be calling on you whenever I need help. A coat like this would be great for the cold lecture halls at uni next year!

Fantastic! I’m a beginner, but I’ve been dying to make a winter coat for a long time, so this is pretty encouraging. Maybe I’ll attempt my own lined coat this fall.

Your coat is gourgeous! It is a tough challange to do a coat with lining as a beginner. Great job!

Oh, it’s fabulous! And the fabric looks like tweed (my favourite) but I a can’t tell from the photos. All in all – a great job!

Oh, it is great! And I prefer your sleeves to the ones suggested in the pattern! Perfect for winter. I still didn’t make a jacket (argh), but at the moment I don’t even want to imagine wearing one because today it is hot outside. But when I finally do it I’ll line it, so I can be proud of it (hopefully) as you are : )
