I’ve noticed that recently (or maybe during the past year) I’ve started to dream about and make more easy, loose and comfortable dresses, and this one is no exception. The dress is made from a trift store curtain, that is a Swedish design from the year 1971 called “Hanna”. I loved the colour and the pattern of the fabric and I instantly tought about 60’s and 70’s inspired A-line dress. The dress is the first one that I have made a pattern for after my pattern drafting course at school and I can really notice the difference in sewing process (not so much unpicking seams) and also the fit of the dress.

So cute! Wish you’d made this from a commercial pattern so that I could make one too! :D

I just love this dress. The style is exactly the kind of thing I wore as a teen, and I love that this classic look is still in fashion. So much fun to make such a terrific garment from a curtain.
