Description

I cut 30cm squares out of some scrap fabric to make hankies with. They have a 5mm double turned hem and roughly mitred corners.

Material Notes

Scraps of old sheets which were used to make garments

Good idea. I use scraps of Liberty lawn, 30 × 30cm or even slightly bigger. The lawn is a good weight for hankies. But I’ve given up on mitred corners!

I know how you feel! But it was the only way to do the corners without any raw edges peeking out.

Wiping your nose with a piece of Liberty fabric is the height of living! Fancy :)
