Description
Hubby has been making cutting boards, and asked me to make a cover to protect and present with them. I have been having fun using up vintage canvas, Marimekko reprints and scraps from my stash to make all sorts of bags. I went from the simplest to a very elaborate crazy quilt one for hubby’s grandmother who has Alzheimers, the sort of fabrics to evoke memories…
Using my serger I did decorative overlock on non-skid material. Testing proved a smaller than board size works best.
Machines used:
Huskylock 1001L
Brother SE270D
Singer 491
Material Notes
Vintage Marimekko reprints
Vintage Canvas and heavyweight cotton denim
Polished Cotton Home Decorator Weights
