I needed a present for a friend’s birthday, and I was extremely broke so I decided to make something!
This handbag is made from the top of old pair of jeans and a set of old silk pyjamas… you can still make out the shape of the jeans from the way I have cut it.
I cut each leg of the jeans just above the knee and reused the fabric to make the side, the bottom, the strap, the clasp part and the flower detail at the front. I used the shirt top of the silk pyjamas for inner lining of the bag, an inner pocket and the additional flower detail.
I also added a hanging accessory which I made from an old necklace, and to finish the bag, I hung beads around the pockets and added a ribbon belt!
I hope you like the finished product! My friend loved it! So I was really happy with it! :)
