I got some great books for Christmas my Son got me the box set from Cath Kidson and I tried some of the hand sewing projects. This bag is one of them. Its great you can use small bits of fabric which otherwise its left I am also making a knitting bag still working on that. The beauty of hand sewing its portable so you can take it with you. It does take time but I kinda like that. The books I am talking about are Cath Kidson collection. Patch.Sew and Stitch. The design is called the Dresden Plate.
I used bits of vintage fabric which I can’t bear to part with but too small for anything. Until now.

I find lots of fabric from Charity shops sometimes I get vingtage lace and fabric from ladies who have given up sewing. Try have a look around and ask people for fabric they want to get rid of….You never know what kinds of gems they give you. I have had some wonderful things given.

I have a tip for you. Go to your local interior designer shop. They sell fabric from books, when the books are finished they get rid of the books. If you ask they give them to you, there is lots of fabric which is great for applique I got one book which i used for bags. Give it a try remember if you don’t ask you don’t get…….Good Luck.
