Description
There was only a yard and a half left on the bolt when I bought this fabric, but I really loved it so I went with it anyway and squeezed this dress (minus all the details) out of it. I would have liked to include the flounces in the princess seams, but since I didn’t have enough fabric I just did two rows of topstiching over all the seam to give it a little interest.
This was my first time sewing with a really slippery fabric like this, and I can’t say it was easy. I used french seams throughout, which makes the inside really nice, but I think that’s why I’m getting some puckery action on the outside.
Overall, there’s something about this dress that I’m not wild about, but I’m not sure what it is.

I think it’s beautiful! I like your haircut, too.
