I drew up this pattern for a local meetup.com sewing workshop. It is for a cloak, optionally with a hood, in sizes XS-S (32,34), M (36,38,40), and L-XL (42,44,46,48). You can vary the length to suit: you can make it hip length, thigh length, or floor length, or any length you want.
Note 1: this pattern is unisex, but it is denoted as for women ’cause burdastyle is kinda dumb that way. :)
Note 2: this pattern is seasonless but is denoted as “Fall” ‘cause that’s when Halloween is, plus burdastyle made me select a season.
Note 3: all pattern pieces are labeled with the same name: this project’s title! Here’s what they’re supposed to be:
#1 Cloak, sizes XS-S (32,34), M (36,38,40), L-XL (42,44,46,48)
#2 Hood, size XS-S (32,34), M (36,38,40), L-XL (42,44,46,48)
Note 4: I’m including fabric yardage requirements here, ‘cause even though I did have to enter yardage requirements when adding the patterns, I don’t see the yardage requirements anywhere in the project.
Cloak, fabric width 45" or 60":
S: (length of cloak x 2) + 3.5"
M: (length of cloak x 2) + 4.5"
L: (length of cloak x 2) + 5"
Hood, fabric width 45" or 60":
1/2 yd, all sizes
suitings, corduroy, heavy satin, velvet, flowy drapery material

Also I don’t have any options to print with the box labeled “This box measures 10” x 0.5""
Is this the size that the pattern image is supposed to be, or the page size itself?
Don’t worry, I figured it out. So sorry! Great pattern, thanks

both these patterns are exactly the same! There is no hood!

Gosh, I really don’t get where to print the actual cloak, I got only the hood… :(

Wow, thanks so much! I just thought of a costume idea this weekend and it requires a cloak with a hood – so finding this pattern on here now is perfect timing!

Thank you for the patterns in size ranges to fit all the members. I looked at #3 pattern & believe with very minor adjustments, I can make this to fit me (2X-eu50) This is much appreciated. Cordially, Nehmah

thanks for your pattern! i was looking for a hooded cloak for my son, he wants to be a vampire for halloween. i know what you mean about mens things here on burda. they are few and far between. boys things are non existent. i can’t wait to make one for my self as well! thanks again, ana555
