I had found some interesting peacock printed cotton fabric in the remnant bin a while back; so when I was trying to think of a quick halloween costume this year I decided to finally use it. I made the dress by pinning some shiny blue lycra to one of my American Apparrel wrap dresses (http://store.americanapparel.net/rsa8344.html?cid=29) for a pattern and sewed it up in a couple hours. I found some thick stretchy gold sequin trim and gathered the peacock fabric with it. et violà! The sequin trim was really hard to work with. I broke sooo many needles. :( Has anyone done this before and have some tips? Thank you :)
