Blue Springs, Mi...
This is the first year of my husband and his friend’s band, well Halloween Band. They only perform at a friends Halloween party in Maryland. My mom and I started at the end of September, not enough time at all, we spent a lot of time at the sewing machines. For the pieces we didn’t have patterns for we made our own pattern designs out of newspaper or paper sacks. Honestly we just winged it here. We had a several photos of the “KISS band” and just picked what we knew we could make. Our “KISS” band was outstanding and got first place in the costume contest! Everyone wanted to know where the cover band came from. Thanks MOM!
We got some remnant fabrics for most of the silver fabrics so I have no idea who made them. We did get all of the fabrics at Hancock Fabric store in the costuming fabrics. The key fabric was the padding used for ironing board covers, the stiffer the better, this was used for the boots, arm bands and the collars.
It's time to enter for our grand prize, an EX100 machine PLUS a trip to Nashville!
