From Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window.
Grace Kelly plays the classy Lisa Carol Freemont, whose first appearance in the film is in this gorgeous Paris dress. Her wardrobe through the film is stunning, but I decided to have a go at this particular one, as it’s most likely the most recognizable look.
No patterns used. My skirt is about half the diameter, but it’s enough of a nuisance to get around the house. I can only imagine the trouble it’d be if it was the full size. I also cut corners on the black branches. It was hard to tell how they were done for the film, so I cheated and just drew them on with a sharpie. Other than that, I’m really happy with the way it turned out.
