Well this year I slacked on my costume, but I did manage to quickly make something before I went to a party. I just had my hair done and I asked what should I be with my red hair that’s easy. Well I already had mermaid fabric and the pink sparkly stretchy stuff. So here it is.
I made a quick double layered bandeau top and ruched it in the middle and tied another piece around it. The main skirt is just tied in the middle so it gathers in the front and is high in the back. Very sexy when you sit down (my land legs show). Since it is only tied the hardest part of my costume was making the little shorts. The mermaid fabric runs really easily which you might see in the pictures (post wearing). I added some pink to the sides and after a few alterations I added a waist band. All in all it turned out quite well. I wanted to find a sebastian or flounder to take with me. I wanted to make a little hair piece from pearlescent beads and shells, but those darn short took too long. Oh well I have it for another day.
I paired it with my pearl and crystal necklace and gold strappy heels. One of the pics with a coworker as the mad hatter (he made his outfit!!! Freaking awesome!!!). Hope you all had a Happy Halloween
