Half-Hour Power Skirt

Cleveland , Ohio...

I wanted something cute to wear to class, so I whipped out some elastic and an old curtain my friend gave me when she moved to Boston. I was in Forever 21 earlier in the day and saw a billion elastic skirts and I thought I could make a cute one on the cheap. It ended up being a super fast project and I’m very pleased how it turned out. It’s just a long rectangle of fabric with elastic sewn at the top. The best part was that I used the side of the curtain that was hemmed, so I didn’t even have to hem it! It only ended up costing me $1.50 for the elastic. I wore it to class today and got a few compliments!

Material Notes

An old curtain with some fuzzy black detailing (FREE) and thick black elastic ($1.50)

I bought it at Jo-Ann’s Fabrics. They cut it by the yard :) Thanks for the compliment!
