My BF’s company holiday party this year was “Big Lebowski” themed. I chose the silly little showgirl dress that is in the dream sequence titled ‘Gutterballs’. If you’d like a reference check this out: http://i461.photobucket.com/albums/qq334/rayindie/Gutterballs.jpg
I wanted a more wearable, less costumey cocktail version of the dress. It came out well given my timeline and budget. Pardon the off-center zipper in the picture, I didn’t straighten the dress out on the mannequin quite right.
I used faux silk dupioni for the red, and some sort of stretch spandexy faux dupioni for the cream. It was hard to use one stretch and one non stretch fabric in one garment, but it came out alright!

Nice dress! I like the colour combination. In the picture you wear it the colours look different.

The faux dupionis have a bit of a shine, so with the flash from the camera they reflected quite a bit. The mannequin shots are the most true to color :)
