I have been wanting to make this shirt for so long, and I finally have! I used a McCall’s men’s shirt pattern size medium, and the shirt is made of a quilter’s cotton because I really liked the print. It made me think of rain water running down the side of a stone structure. The majority of this shirt was sewn in two days during my breaks at work (and down time) with the exception of the embroidery and buttonholes, which I did at home. The embroidery design was digitized using the emblem of the Sunken Mausoleum from one of my favorite mangas “Bizenghast” by M. Alice Legrow. If I ever make this shirt again, I think I will lengthen the sleeves just a wee bit (maybe a whole inch).
cotton, interfacing, 1/’2 inch buttons (9), embroidery thread
