Description
This is the second coat that I made using McCall 5525 as a basis (my Key Lime Trench was the first). I modified the pattern by making it significantly more fitted, and narrowing the collar and belt somewhat. The material is a black and white cotton sateen, lined with white Bemberg rayon. I added some black bias tape as a trim between the front facing and the lining. More details of this project can be found on my blog
Material Notes
black and white cotton sateen with a little bit of lycra, white Bemberg (100% rayon) lining, black bias tape

First I laughed hysterically at your description ‘the one at your blog’ regarding the photographing, or your vertical issues you may have…. ! I must tell you that your issues are your own as you look anything ‘short’ and hey, what is wrong with being short??? I would much rather be a few inches smaller than myself. That pattern was one of the first ones I bought hoping to make my way up to sewing it. Can’t wait. love your versions and those at Pat.Rev. Beautiful photo’s!

Love the fitted look and the white and black fabric was a very brave choice that’s paid off, it looks amazing on you! I want to make a trench this winter but I haven’t found the right fabric yet, but you have made me renew my search :)
