Here’s a cotton knit with a super sweet print that makes for a kickin’ cardigan. The length looks great paired with a short structured skirt, a good elastic belt and some decorative pins. I made my pin from a rosette trim!
McCall’s 5978 is a long cardigan for knits without a fitted waistband. it sews up really well, but i had to adjust the front pieces so that the curve sat above the chest, not below it. twin needles work great for the hems on the bodice and the sleeve.
make a million, like i’m going to do!
cotton and bamboo knits are perfect for this cardigan, because they breath and are wearable every season. you could use synthetics, as long as they have a really good stretch to them. no surprise that they make you kind of sweaty, though. if it’s REALLY stretchy you should probably think about making it in a smaller size than you normally would.
Plan a weekend getaway in these sweater dresses and furry accessories.
