been wanting to make one or erdronen’s Organizer Wallets for a while …it was the coming together of some rather loud psychedelic thrifted curtains and some purple pleather on discount at Joann that finally did it…plus wanted something I could sew in less than a weekend…..Erdronen’s instruction made it a breeze and while I’m very happy with the result, this pattern does make a faily soft wallet ….
Commercially made ones must contain some kind of structure….does anyone know what this might be? ….I was thinking for the next one I may add some cardboard to the interior but I’m sure there is a more professional way to get a stiffer finish….any bag/wallet makers out there point me in the right direction?? – Thanks!

You did a good job on this wallet! I dropped in because I like your dog/shadow icon. It spoke to me because I am getting a new dog tomorrow – nothing to do with sewing as I am not one of those who feels the need for her dog to wear clothing.

Have fun with your new companion :) I have thought of clothing for my 2 but only of the outdoor protection neoprene vest variety…ended up purchasing a neoprene vest for the big guy who’s shadow this is …. he may still need a fleece vest for winter snowshoeing though…and that might be fun to try.

it’s verynicely done! great job! i use a very heavy interfacing on both sides of the main pieces and that does the trick. also, lately i found some very thick two sided home dec fusible interfacing that is amazing! that’s going to be my go-to from now on!

It is a groovy wallet. I’m thinking I’ll have to make myself one now too.

Nice wallet, you can use fusible interface / pellon to stiffen the wallet. It works wonders. I’m also making the wallet myself, pics soon to come.

Neat wallet and I am loving the color. You can also try a stiff interfacing. Pellon is what I just used in this bag: http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/rich-velvet-gold-tones. Wish I knew how to make it clickable. I plan to make a wallet for this bag …eventually and thanks to your heads up, i’m going to put some interfacing in.

Íts beautiful. I’ve always admired Erdonen’s wallet pattern although I haven’t made it myself. You could try using template plastic to give it some structure. I’ve used it in the base of bags with success. You’ll find it where they sell quilting supplies.
