Burda Style For people who sew
Description
It took me months and months, and about 5 different waistbands but I finally made linen trousers. It was a battle all the way but I’m really happy with how they turned out and they’re so comfortable!
I reverse-engineered the pattern from a pair of trousers I own.

Thank you! I did not make the top but it’s so simple, I’ve been thinking about making a pattern from it since I bought it.

Thanks! I used this link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8z5JADuZMTo) to create a pattern from my favorite pants. I didn’t even have to take them apart!

Thank you! It really was worth putting in the time to get it right. Although there were lots of times that I decided to give up I just kept redoing it.
Reading this post (http://beyondthecurtains.blogspot.ca/2012/04/drafting-and-sewing-contour-waistband.html) was a real breakthrough for me
