This is the fur jacket from december 2011 issue of burda magazine pattern no 113.
the pattern is really easy to use and put together. except for the fact I used the wrong fur, i ordered the material off the internet so it was a gamble anyway, I guess it acts as a muslin/toile now. but can’t wait to give it another go with better quality fake fur.

thank you. as you’ve probably seem I had a night mare with direction of the fur too it happened because I didn’t reverse the pattern pieces so when I realised I needed to cut out 3 extra pieces I did it too quickly and didn’t check the direction of the fabric. never mind we live and we learn I guess lol!

Fur can be pesky. But usually worth it. One thing i did learn (the hard way) was that you can’t top and tail the pieces. Extra fabric is required (usually) because you have to go down the fabric in one direction. Just like velvet, cordory and any of those sort of fabrics. Unless, of course, that’s the effect you’re after ;) Good luck with the next one (or two..). It really is very cute. Maybe a few in different colours?
